The Knowledge Discovery Lab aims to build and nurture research initiatives in the field of Information Retrieval (IR). The goal of this group is to allow for deeper exploration of concepts highlighted in our coursework, while building a pipeline for research publication in the field of IR.

What we do

Host reading groups that unpack core IR papers, methods, datasets, and evaluation metrics.
Incubate small research projects that can evolve into workshop or conference submissions.
Run paper-writing sprints, reproducibility efforts, and demo sessions to share progress
